My Ideal House

For my ideal house I would use geothermal energy because it is reliable, environmentally friendly, and it is renewable. Even with all of the great advantages it does have some disadvantages. Some disadvantages are that it releases some gases and it is hard to drill that deep into the Earth.
The way to fix letting out the gases is to make a safe, secure area around the drilling site and the workers should wear protective suits. The only way I can think to fix the drilling problem is to move to an area where the drill can get through the rock right under the ground easily. That is my ideal house for how to improve the environment.

Energy Sources

Should our cars be required to get better gasoline mileage? My answer is yes. First of all, the price of gas is too high to pay for 6 or 7 mpg. If we use these cars that take up so much gas then we will lose our fuels faster than we ever thought. On the other hand, if we use cars that use gas efficiently then our fuel will last longer. Another thing we could do is to not use gas to power anything else. We shouldn't power lawnmowers, scooters, or anything else that we use many times a month. If we did that then we wouldn't lose as much gas.

Heredity/Genetics

My Traits: free ear lobes, no hair on fingers, widow's peak, curly hair, smooth chin, no smile dimples.

Mom's Traits: attached ear lobes, no hair on fingers, widow's peak, straight hair, smooth chin, no smile dimples


Dad's Traits:free ear lobes, no hair on fingers, widow's peak, straight hair, smooth chin, smile dimples.

My Dad has all dominant traits except for no hair on fingers, straight hair, and smooth chin. My Mom has all recessive traits except for a widow's peak. I inherited my free ear lobes from my Dad. I inherited no smile dimples from my Mom. I inherited no hair on fingers, widow's peak, and smooth chin from both of my parents. I think I inherited my curly hair from my Grandpa on my Mom's side. I know this because I saw which traits were the same and different.

My First Blog

I liked learning about traits because we had many labs with it. The labs were fun. I thought they were interesting as well. The lab helped me learn more about traits.
